Height: 5’10 | Weight: 154 lbs
Hometown: Eastoke, Hayling Island
Finishing Move: Sliced Bread #2
Throughout the history of Professional Wrestling, it has been proven time and time again that any odds can be overcome if a man’s heart is in the right place. Proving this himself, Ant Lacayo has risen in the ranks quicker than anybody else, as he defeated all challenges. Winning the first ever-annual Christmas Rumble, Lacayo made a mark on the fans at Hayling Wrestling, showing that whilst he may not be the biggest or strongest, he certainly has all the tools to take the gold when the time comes.
Height: 5’9 | Weight: 185 lbs
Hometown: Bombay, India
Finishing Move: Axehandle Smash
One of Hayling’s most vocal competitors, Rishi Ghosh has made a huge impact on the local fans. Using an obscure approach to his matches, Rishi can often be found disappearing underneath the ring for a quick getaway, which isn't always a bad idea as his dirty tactics always seem to get under the skin of his opponents. Valuing his hypocritical morals on sportsmanship very highly, Rishi’s tactics are only outdone by his hot temper, which sometimes leads him to unfortunate ends.
Height: 5’11 | Weight: 189 lbs
Hometown: The Angel, Islington
Finishing Move: Sharpshooter
Gallagher has been a sturdy fan favourite ever since getting into the business. Always in the pursuit of good competition, Gallagher’s strong technical background always gives himself an advantage in his matches. Recently Gallagher has been caught up in a much less sporting fight, however, as he and his best friend Tyrone Johnson have been trying to fend off the mighty combination of Marvin Ellis and Bellinger. With a new kind of competitor beginning to emerge in this valiant man, Gallagher’s future may be the brightest amongst the roster, only time will tell.
Height: 6’0 | Weight: 196 lbs
Hometown: Cosham, Portsmouth
Finishing Move: Blue Thunder Bomb
Arguably the most charismatic man on Hayling Island, Tyrone Johnson has fought his way into the heart of Hayling’s faithful with his war against Marvin Ellis and Bellinger. Whilst being one of the biggest, most powerful men on the roster, Tyrone has found himself the underdog thus far in his career, but still manages to prevail. Always having time for the fans, Johnson has defended their honour time and time again, showing his head is in the right place, and that he has all the tools to succeed.
Height: 5’9 | Weight: 210 lbs
Hometown: Northam, Southampton
Finishing Move: TKO
He’s strong, he’s fast, he’s unstoppable, and he truly is, Marvellous!
Marvin Ellis walked into Hayling’s rings as an unknown, but now he is one of the most recognised men in the company! Knocking away opponent after opponent, Ellis came runner up in the Christmas Rumble, after having gone through the majority of the roster before hand, showing that he may be the most dangerous man to have ever walked the streets of Hayling, the question is, where will this man stop?
Height: 6’0 | Weight: 245 lbs
Hometown: Portswood, Southampton
Finishing Move: Torture Bomb
By far the biggest man on the roster, the silent and sulky Bellinger towers over anybody that steps up to the monster. It is no wonder that this man, who has proven to be adept at chain wrestling and the innovator of many moves, such as the Torture Bomb, a Torture Rack Back-Suplex, has defeated all he has come into contact with. From the referees to the heavyweight Tyrone Johnson, anyone who has been foolish enough to stand in his way has fallen, regardless of the fight they have put forward. With a firm alliance with Marvin Ellis, Bellinger’s reign at the top may just be a matter of time.
Height: 5’ 8’’ | Weight: 147 lbs
Hometown: The Beaches Of Hayling
Island
Finishing Move: Slice Of
Paradise
When little Jake McCluskey was brought in as a last minute replacement to face Rishi Ghosh, many believed him to be the sure-fire loser, but when the surfer kid that came straight from the beaches of Hayling walked away with the win, he proved once and for all that size doesn’t matter! Since then the highflying sensation has taken the fight to competition big and small, using his finishing move, the Slice Of Paradise (a variation of the Sliced Bread #2) to pick up his victories. As one of the most athletic competitors on the roster, McCluskey is riding a wave of momentum to the top!
Height: 6’3 | Weight: 240 lbs
Hometown: Wherever He Damn Well Pleases…
Finishing Move: Will Power
With size, strength, and ambition, Big Will seemingly has all the right elements to make himself a huge success, that is until you take his clumsiness into account. Coming close to a win every time, Will seems to be one of the few men who can always snatch a loss from the jaws of victory, which only adds to his bad attitude and fearsome reputation with the fans. Having been frustrated by being forced to wear a dress at the Christmas show, Big Will decided to change his losing ways and teamed with the ‘Bombay Bad Boy’ Rishi Ghosh, we will see if this terrible twosome manage to change their luck on future shows.
Height: 5’ 11’’ | Weight: 159 lbs
Hometown: West Town, Hayling Island
Finishing Move: Speci Driver
After returning from a 6-month hiatus from the ring, Ollie Burns has been on fire! Making it known that he felt he was the first in line for a shot at the Hayling Championship, Hayling’s hero went all-out in a bitter feud with the ‘Chav King’ Dan James. Through blood, sweat and tears, Burns never backed down, always standing his ground, coming so close to becoming champion so many times, only to be cheated out of every shot by James. With a strong fan base and always showing flair in the ring, Burns is now trying to find a way in which to prove himself, and with a heart like his, that shouldn’t be hard.
Height: 5’11 | Weight: 165 lbs
Hometown: The Streets Of
Portsmouth
Finishing Move: Pikey Plunge
‘The Chav King’ and, indeed, the current
‘King’ of Hayling Island, Dan James is the most vicious, callous,
unforgiving and ruthless man on the company’s entire roster. Match after
brutal match he has shown that no extreme is enough to stay on top. From
jumping poor Ant Lacayo, to bloodying Ollie Burns, James’ ring style has
been a barrage of street-style brawling that has never let up for even a
moment. Never scared to cheat his way out of a match, Dan’s ring smarts
may only be topped by his dangerous finishing move, the Pikey Plunge, a
Double-Underhook-Tornado-Faceplant from the corner, which has put
away opponent after opponent, before the inevitable raising of the evil
champion’s arm in praised victory. So far it seems that the champion, Dan
James, is here to stay.
